Our Administrative Office, which was once housed at Station 1, is located in Cielo Plaza at the entrance to the community of Cielo, across Calle Ambiente from Station 4. The new location is more centrally located to all areas of the district and will allow us to better meet the needs of our customers. Services offered include plan submissions, plan checks, permit applications, and other business or prevention matters.

16936 El Fuego, Rancho Santa Fe, CA 92067

Station No. 1 was originally built in 1949 and was renovated 50-years later in August of 1999. The fire companies assigned here respond to emergencies in Rancho Santa Fe, Sun Valley, the Bridges, Rancho La Cima, Rancho Del Lago, Groves, Stonebridge, South Pointe Farms, and other surrounding communities.

16930 Four Gee Road, San Diego, CA 92127

The fire companies assigned at Station No. 2 respond to emergencies in the ever-growing master-planned communities of 4S Ranch, Santa Fe Valley and Bernardo Lakes Estates. This station also protects a large business/industrial park and the communities of Bernardo Point and The Summit of Rancho Bernardo. Station No. 2 was dedicated in January 2003, replacing the temporary fire station firefighters inhabited since August 1990.

Station No. 2 is also home to the fire district's Firefighter Training Facility. Construction began In November 2003, and was completed in July 2004. The facility houses a 4-story training tower with three burn rooms, three underground vaults simulating confined-space rescue incidents, an extrication area where firefighters practice cutting cars apart to free victims of traffic collisions, three roof props to simulate ventilation techniques, a 33,000 gallon drafting pit, and a splash wall. The facility also holds an on-site classroom.

6424 El Apajo, Rancho Santa Fe, CA 92067

Station No. 3 first opened in 1983 and is located in the community of Fairbanks Ranch across from the Helen Woodward Animal Center. It was rebuilt in 2011 and is now a state-of-the-art facility, designed to meet the needs of the community for the next 50 years. Fire companies from this station respond to emergencies in Fairbanks Ranch, Whispering Palms, Del Mar Country Club, RSF Farms, RSF Lakes, Santa Fe Sur, Rancho Farms Estates, Del Rayo Estates, Montecito, Rancho Santa Fe, and other surrounding communities.

18040 Calle Ambiente, Rancho Santa Fe, CA 92067

Station No. 4, located at the entrance to the community of Cielo, began serving the communities in the northeast corner of the district in September 2004. Firefighters from this station respond to emergencies in the communities of Cielo, The Crosby, Santa Fe Valley, Del Dios, Mount Israel, The Summit of RSF, Hacienda Santa Fe, Rancho Del Rio and other surrounding communities.

2604 Overlook Point Road, Escondido, CA 92029

Station No. 5 is located in the community of Harmony Grove Village and serves the area of Harmony Grove and Elfin Forest.  We have served these communities since 2016 and the newly built station was completed in October 2020.  In addition, this station provides automatic aid to the surrounding cities of Escondido and San Marcos. 

20223 Elfin Forest Road, Elfin Forest, CA 92029

Volunteers have been serving the communities of Elfin Forest and Harmony Grove since 1972 when residents formed a volunteer fire company. A few years later, a riding stable on Harmony Grove Road was converted into a fire station. In 1982 the Fire Department reorganized and became a nonprofit public benefit corporation called "Elfin Forest/Harmony Grove Volunteer Fire Department Incorporated," which was funded by a self-imposed service fee. In 1991, the fire department purchased a nearby building on 2 acres located on Elfin Forest Road and the fire station was relocated there. In July 2016, the Elfin Forest/Harmony Grove Fire Department merged with the Rancho Santa Fe Fire Protection District and the station became the 6th within the fire district's boundaries. It continues to serve as a community hub for residents in the area.
